Music Boxes
Hi Joyce, I have a music box with 2 sets of unopened playing cards inside of it. The music box reads Happy Birthday and the outside of the box looks like an old car with a crank on the front of it which plays happy birthday when you crank it. This was make by Dixie Bearings Inc. Can you tell me how old this is and what it might be worth?

Hello Tracy, An Ohio based company acquired Dixie Bearings from Mobile AL in 1957. So, your item was made prior to 1957. Because it appeals to a variety of collectors — advertising, playing cards, cars , birthday musical etc. — it will be more desirable and increase in value. The pristine condition is also a plus. I would price it in my shop at $85.00 – $95.00
